Microsoft Windows 11

Product Number: 537Z6AV

12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P

I am performing a clean installation of Windows 11 from a USB on a new SSD.  Using the F9 boot order, the laptop booted the Windows 11 USB installation media fine.  During the subsequent Windows 11 installation, I noticed that the touchpad was not working, but I was able to continue through several of the Windows 11 installation screens using the keyboard.  However, the Windows 11 installation fails at the "Let's connect you to a network" screen, where neither of my two available wi-fi networks are visible.  Not able to proceed beyond this Windows 11 installation screen.  Appreciate the assistance.

Hi @SG1969,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing issues with your HP Envy Laptop 17t -cr0000 wherein the wi-fi is not detected during software upgrade.

Please follow the steps listed below to update the drivers.

1. Go to Device Manager.
2. Expand the "Network Adapters".
3. Then right click the wireless adapters.
and click "update driver software".
4. Click "Browse my Computer for driver software".
5. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my Computer".
6. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

Thank you for your reply; however, your reply assumes that there is a functioning operating system.  As I mentioned in my post, this incident occurred during a clean installation of Windows 11 onto a new SSD - there is no functional operating system running.  The clean Windows 11 installation process hangs in the middle of the installation process at the point where the installation process requires a live connection to the Internet to continue.  The Windows 11 installation process cannot be continued, as the system cannot detect either of my two wi-fi networks.  Rebooting the computer merely causes the Windows 11 installation process to restart - hanging at the same point.
