Hi. I often play Steam games on my laptop, and most work just fine. However, a few of them— including Life Is Strange 2— will cause the computer screen to shut down every few minutes while playing the game. I’m not sure if this is related to specific games (since not all games do this), or if there’s something wrong with my laptop. Can anyone help?
(I have a fan under my laptop, so it does not overheat.)

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:
- An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
- The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
- HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.

(3) Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done !

Hi. I did it. I haven’t tested out the games yet— however, on the bottom right hand corner of my screen, the time/date + volume, battery, and wifi setting options, keep flickering. I shut down my computer and turned it on again, and it’s still happening.
This began after I installed the BIOS update, and I’m not 100% sure that the update form Step 4 even worked properly.
What do I do…?

Hello @whoever2003
(1) Download and install
NVIDIA Graphics Driver | 26.21.14.3198 Rev.E | 641.3 MB | Nov 21, 2019 | Download |
(2) Reboot and test again
(3) If you don't have flickering on <external monitor> connected via vga/hdmi, it is a technical problem of notebook screen.
