I forgot my windows password.what happens to softwares such as ms office,mcaffe antivirus etc. ,when i reset my laptop.do they remain on my laptop or they disappear?.does this model come with these inbuilt softwares or not.can someone please help me out?

In answer to that question - it really depends on the method of reset.  But, the more important statement is "I forgot my windows password"  That can be cured without resetting the laptop.

Doing a factory reset removes everything from the PC, as it starts out by reformatting the entire drive.

The OS, drivers, and HP utilities will be preloaded, but I don't know about any other apps. McAfee probably will, but my guess is that MS Office probably will not.

To deal with the forgotten password, you have to contact HP Customer Support -- as we are not allowed to assist in this due to forum policies.

For Windows 10 user, there are a built-in administrator account. You can try to boot Windows 10 with the built-in administrator default account. With the admin rights, you would be able to run command prompt, computer management, control panel again to reset Windows 10 local admin password without disk or USB
