Product: Elite Book 840
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I been charging my Elite book  all morning and the power light and caps lock light are just blinking white every second.  I tried the hard reboot suggested onlime and I still cannot get it to turn on.

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

 

Unfortunately, this is usually related to some serious hardware issue (or sometimes a BIOS problem).

 

You need to idenfity the pattern of this blinking - how exactly and how often it blinks - this is the computer trying to send you a code and describe where the problem is after performing power on checks.  Let me know how you idenfity the pattern.
