Afternoon,
I am having a few issues with my BIOS (please see attached picture).
As you can see in 'System Information", 'Product Name', 'Serial Number', 'SKU Number', 'Feature Byte' and 'System Board CT Number' are all 'blacked out' with special character and "Born on Date" is 00/00/0000.
I have tried :
Changing the BIOS language.
Downgrading to the earliest BIOS version (v02.65 Rev.A).
Upgrading to latest BIOS version (00.02.71 Rev.A).
Tried unlocking MPM with no luck (error : reason="Access denied" returnCode="6").
Setting an Power-on password, no luck 'Assess Denied' error remains.
Setting an Administrator password, no luck 'Assess Denied' error remains.
I assume I have to unlock the MPM to then change the values in the BIOS, any advice would be beneficial.
Here is the "Access Denied" from the BCU log :
<SETTING changeStatus="fail" name="Manufacturing Programming Mode" reason="Access denied" returnCode="6"> <OLDVALUE><![CDATA[Lock]]></OLDVALUE> <NEWVALUE><![CDATA[Unlock]]></NEWVALUE> </SETTING> |
Here is the full message from BCU :

Many Thanks
