Elitebook 755 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Members,

after pressing the Powerbutton my Elitebook 755 G5 turns into "HP Sure Start Recovery" after loading "Defaults" in BIOS.

"The keys were restored automatically and there is no further action required. The repeated occurence of this problem indicates a security problem that should be not ignored"

There's no possibility to get into the BIOS, it occures always this message.

Is there a possibility to get into the BIOS or to boot to the operating system (Windows 10-64 bit)?

Thank you in advanced.

Kindly regards

Bernd

Hello,

thank you for your quick reply.

Unfortunately it is not possible to get into HP Computer Setup with f10.

For a second the message "Entering Setup ..." appears, but its not possible to get in.

It boots again into HP Sure Start Recovery.

Kindly regards

Bernd

Hello

the Sure Start Recovery message that you see on your computer  is the " Figure 1. HP Sure Start Recovery warning message" shown at the link https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c06572866   ?

then you click "OK", then press F10 , very quickly up and down, you are not able to enter in bIOS setup ?

Insist to be able to enter in F10 , otherwise I can't help you more than this.

bye

Hello,

Figure 1, yes it is.

Pressing "OK" an then quickly F10, for second I can see "Entering Setup Menu".

But then it reboots, an the first message appears again.

Still thank you

Bernd

Hello

try to press and keep pressed the Power-on button for at least 15 seconds and see if something change.

it should be possible to stop that loop , otherwise you have to call psotsales support to fix your notebook,

bye

Hello,

I did it. And I think it interrupts the loop obviously.

Unfortunately the screen holds on to be black.

The only things which happen is a short flickering of the lights of the Caps Lock and Num Lock Buttons an the rotation of the fan increases.

Pressing F10 during boot causes no visible effects.

With kindly regards

Bernd
