Operating System: Ubuntu LTS

Anyone know if there's a trick to installing a custom OS (Linux Ubuntu Mate)
I created a bootable USB with Rufus, then with Universal USB Installer but neither worked.

 

I've used Universal USB Installer before to install Ubuntu Mate on an HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF (my daily driver) with no problem.
But my Elitebook 830 G6 seems to have a much more involved BIIOS, and I'm nervous to fiddle there.

I had however set the machine to boot from the flash drive. The error messages I received seemed to point to the usb files, but I may be wrong there, as the jargon is unfamiliar to me.


Any help would be appreciated

FYI

The laptop is running Windows 10 Pro
Has an m2 ssd installed as standard.
