Hi,

Just got an Elitebook 865 g9, Windows 11 22H2, everything up to date. 

When system goes into modern standby, some activities are allowed to continue. CPU TDP remains high but the fan stops. CPU reaches 100°C and thermal throttling kicks in. 

Is this by design? Fan stopping in modern standby, no matter what...

 

Also, if activities are ongoing, e.g. video rendering, why the hell does the system transition into modern standby?

 

Any help is appreciated
