So I have windows 11 and need Hyper V enabled for them to help me set up a VHD for gaming. So I have a few questions?

1.) Is there any fee for Hyper V or is it just something I have access to with my purchase?

2.) The option for VHD or VHXD in settings... is that from you or Microsoft. The line gets blurry on certain things between Microsoft and HD in this setup..

All I know is the Microsoft guy said Asure or something is the version of VHD that they charge for so I am avoiding it, but want the continued expansion option.

3.) How do I set up / Enable Hyper V?

Hyper-v is enabled in BIOS. You probably  have it enabled already.  if not then this is the BIOS setting.

Your system spec is here and your CPU supports Hyper-V

I suspect you have 4gb of memory and 128gb SSD drive.  VHD and VHDX are used to to create virtual disk drives.  You do not have much disk space with 128gb and you may need more than 4gb to make the virtual drive useful.  You mentioned gaming.  If using steam you can install the game imagery in a second drive such as a USB flash drive if there is not enough space on the C drive.  Is that what you want to do?

I looked at the manual for your laptop and also watched this video

Possibly you could replace the single 4g with a single 8gb.

some versions of the "HP 15" laptop can accept an "M.2 NVME" disk drive and others can only use the "M.2 SATA-3" like the one shown in the video.
