I have an HP Envy x360 model# 15m-dr1012dx with an i7 processor. I had noticed the machine was running hot but didn't think much of it until it wouldn't turn on one day just before Christmas. I took it to a repair guy who said he thinks the motherboard died. I might try to repair or replace it. Anyone have any success repairing fried motherboards? Alternately, where is a good place to get a replacement motherboard, with so many shady parts dealers out there? Finally, is it likely that there would be another problem that was causing it to overheat, like a fan that needs to be replaced? Thanks in advance.
