HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0010na

Hi Community

The button on my ENVY15 that allows me to change the performance level is now telling me it is disabled until I install a 'required component', but does not tell me what that component is. I seem to be up to date with all drivers and BIOS. Any ideas?

I have the same issue, and clearly others do too.  The Command Center "Performance Control" functions are disabled by HP on the HP Envy 15 15-EPxxxx models (my specific model is 15-EP0142tx).  This means that the full power of the laptop and GPU can no longer be accessed meaning my games are running really badly.

The version of Command Centre installed with Performance Control disabled is 1.11.54.0.

HP needs to post information here on when the laptop will return to normal function and not have core functions disabled.

My laptop was upgraded today to Command Center 1.11.58.0 and the Performance Control tab has been reactivated.  There was a separate HP driver update from Windows Update (unnamed component, version 1.63.3600.0) which may or may not have been related.

So far even on Default (for me always the quietest mode) the fans seems to be running more than previously.
