HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ed0023dx
Microsoft Windows 11

A week ago I noticed when I turned my laptop on the power button qould be on but the caps lock light would blink 5 long times and 3 short Times and the screen would not come on. When I push then power buttong again the caps code stops but the screen is still black. Call HP and of course they want to charge over $400 just to look at it!

Yesterday I just turn it on to see if it would come on and it did! Now today the same issue again. The screen is black. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi @LecadaInc,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

This looks like a potential hardware issue, which needs to be checked and if requires service. it.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers who should be able to sort this out. HP provides repair or service options as well. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support.

I've sent you a private message with further instructions. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
