Tried to reset the notebook through Windows Recovery. Backed up files manually onto an external hardrive and ran the back up. Once back up was successfull. I unplugged the harddrive. Ran a Windows Reset. Installation was okay. Laptop boots up to Administration  login page with the loading symbol and then screen blacks out to a cmd.exe with 5 error lines reading 'The system cannot find the drive specified.' 

I have an error log file that Recovery Manager saved.

Hi:

 

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if using the HP cloud recovery client utility to create a recovery drive will allow you to reset the PC.

Should that not work either, then you can try to clean install W10 by making a bootable W10 installation flash drive using the Media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
