@Carsan23, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding BitLocker Recovery Key for HP Pavilion Model 15-dy2031nr!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Since your HP Pavilion Model 15-dy2031nr is booting to a BitLocker error blue screen, you will need to retrieve your BitLocker recovery key to proceed. If the key is not found in your Microsoft account, here are a few other methods to locate the recovery key:
Other Options to Retrieve Your BitLocker Recovery Key
1. Use a Cloud Domain Account:
- If your computer is connected to a domain, such as a school or work computer, the recovery key might be saved to your cloud domain. Consult with your system administrator for assistance.
2. Use a USB Flash Drive:
- If you saved your BitLocker recovery key to a USB flash drive, insert the drive into another computer and check for a text file containing the key.
3. Open a Local File:
- Check your non-encrypted hard drive on another device where you might have saved the recovery key as a text file (.txt).
4. Use a Printed Copy:
- Look for any printed copies of your BitLocker recovery key in places where you store important computer-related information.
5. Use an Azure Active Directory Account:
- If you signed into your organization with a work or school email account associated with Azure Active Directory, your recovery key might be saved there. Consult your IT administrator for help.
6. Access Another Microsoft Account:
- If multiple Microsoft accounts are used on your computer, try signing in with another account that has administrator privileges to unlock the computer with the recovery key.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
