Hi @SSaiH

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xEFFFFF24 typically indicates a problem with system files, system configuration, or disk errors in Windows. This error can occur during startup or when trying to access specific applications or system components.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix this issue:

1. Run the Windows Troubleshooter

Windows has built-in troubleshooting tools that can detect and fix various issues automatically. Try running the troubleshooter for system problems.

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters.
  • Click on System Maintenance or Windows Update (depending on the specific error you're facing).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to let Windows try to fix the issue.

2. Run Disk Check (CHKDSK)

This error code might also be caused by disk corruption. Running a disk check can help fix potential issues with your hard drive or SSD.

To run CHKDSK:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator:
    • Press Windows key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  • In the Command Prompt, type:(Replace C: with the appropriate drive letter if it's not your main drive).
  • Press Enter, and when prompted to schedule the check for the next restart, type Y and press Enter.
  • Restart your computer to allow CHKDSK to scan and fix any disk issues.

3. Run System File Checker (SFC)

Corrupt system files could also be causing this error. You can use the System File Checker (SFC) tool to repair corrupted or missing system files.

To run SFC:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
  • Wait for the process to finish. It may take some time, and if issues are found, Windows will attempt to repair them.
  • After completion, restart your computer and check if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
