@Gargi1

HP Recover Media expects the replacement drive to be nearly the same capacity as the original drive, or bigger.

If your new drive is that, then I have no idea why the media isn't working and you need to contact HP Customer Support to see about getting the media replaced.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (650) 857-1501.

You can also try contacting Tech Support directly using 1 (800) 474-6836.

I assume that after replacing your hard drive you wanted to use the recovery Media to reinstall your HP system on a clean drive?

No reason why you replaced the Drive, was it because you replaced it with a new SSD drive, old drive failing etc?

I have replaced my old HHD drives with newer SSD drives at least 4 times and the easiest way is to clone the old drive before installing a new drive. There are free programs out there to allow you to clone your drive fro free.

Firstly i would like to thank you for your help, sir. As you said, i did. Both Quick and extensive Check up showed pass result. But my problem is still not solved.

I assume that after replacing your hard drive you wanted to use the recovery Media to reinstall your HP system on a clean drive? -- Yes. Because i have replaced my Hard drive with HDD because old one was busted, also HP recommend us to do so.

Sorry but i wasn't aware of cloning the original one.

Try this link, hopefully it can help you. HP can be picky on these types of things, a Hard Drive should be the same size, storage capacity, of the old drive. If the old drive is still usable I would reinstall it and then clone it and replace it with the new drive.

Hopefully this will help. Good Luck...

I have submitted my laptop to Hp Care Center. They informed us that the Disks were faulty.
