My Battery in my HP Computer is at 4%.  Can my battery be recharged??  If so, how do I do that??

Yes, 4% just means the battery is almost empty. Connect the laptop to its original HP AC adapter and a working wall outlet, then let it charge for a while.

Check if the charging light comes on and whether Windows shows “Plugged in, charging.” If it stays at 4% or says plugged in but not charging, the adapter, charging port, or battery may need checking.

You can also run HP Battery Check through HP Support Assistant or HP UEFI Diagnostics to see if the battery is still healthy.

I have plugged the HP Adapter to a wall outlet, and waiting to see if it will charge.  Thank you for the instruction.

One last question.  When my battery drained from 100% to 16% I received a notice on my computer that said "Battery Counterfeit Check Error - Detected a non-HP battery."  Could that be the reason why the battery started draining??

Thank you again for your reply.
