Hi everyone, I’m really angry right now. I paid good money for my HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1021na (37A94EA), but I can’t fully use it because the advanced BIOS settings are locked and inaccessible. This is unacceptable.
I want HP to give users the option to unlock advanced BIOS settings. I don’t care about warranties or any restrictions - it’s my laptop, and I’m responsible for what I do with it. If HP wants to keep users locked out of important features, that’s just bad customer service. Please, HP, let us unlock these settings or provide a proper solution. We deserve full control over the hardware we bought.

Hi @Aertizas,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
HP laptops, including the Pavilion Gaming series, typically have restricted BIOS settings to prevent users from making changes that could potentially harm the system or void the warranty. While advanced BIOS settings are usually locked for security and stability reasons, it is important to proceed with caution if attempting to unlock these settings. Here's a general approach to troubleshoot your BIOS accessibility:
Check BIOS Update Availability
Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. Sometimes new updates might unlock additional settings or improve system stability.
Visit the HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Support page for your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1021na.
- Enter your laptop’s model number and check for any BIOS updates.
Follow the Instructions:
- Download and install the latest BIOS update following the instructions provided by HP.
Access BIOS Settings
To access the BIOS settings:
- Restart your Laptop.
- Press Esc or F10 repeatedly during boot-up to enter the BIOS setup.
I hope this helps.
