Product: 15-F233wm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased the recovery media to restore my laptop back to Factory reset/recovery.  Unfortunately; I am getting an error message that the recovery failed. It gave me the option to retry, download the error file, or shutdown. I tried the retry 3 times and still no luck. The downloaded file is way to complex to load here.  Any suggestions?

Hi:

 

If the HP recovery media isn't working, the only suggestion I can offer, would be to make a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive using the Microsoft media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

So; I purchased the recovery media (USB) for my laptop (received yesterday), because my old hard drive crashed  and I installed a new one.  After going through many Factory Recovery attempts and constantly getting recovery failed messages; I decided to post the error log here; with hopes somebody can explain why it keeps failing? Is the recovery media faulty and if so; how do I get a replacement? Or am I doing something wrong?
