HP stream 14-ax010wm

I recently bought a HP stream 14-ax010wm from a friend but it’s still logged on to their profile and they don’t know the login nor do they have the same email anymore. When I try to reset the PC, it says “Additional free space is needed on the drive where Windows is installed. Free up some space and try again” I can’t log in to the computer at all and I’m not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

The only way to get a working PC in this case is to use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to give you a new install.  Or you can use the Microsoft tool to get the newest Windows 10 installed.

HP Cloud Recovery Tool:

Microsoft Tool

you can make it from this Microsoft download

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make either the DVD or USB.

Then with either tool, do a clean install, that will wipe out the old and install the new.  IMHO. I would use the Microsoft tool to get the newest Windows 10 and avoid updates, which are also known to cause “Additional free space is needed on the drive where Windows is installed. Free up some space and try again”
