Hi:
According to the driver page, there was only one model wifi adapter HP used, and this is the W8.1 32 driver for it.
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BS wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71996.exe
If that installs the wifi adapter so you can connect to the internet, you can save a lot of time and trouble by just clicking on the blue Update Now button on the Microsoft media creation tool link I posted above.
You won't even need to enter a product key that way, and after the installation is complete, W10 should be activated.

Phew!!.....ok, so i've gotten windows 10 installed and running, i've also installed all the drivers (i think) that are listed for the device but I still have 3 unknown devices in the device manager that don't have drivers. Is there any way I can fix this?
At the moment I keep on installing drivers incase I missed one but there must be an easier way?
Hopefully I can have this all wrapped up by monday so the device can be used for schoolwork!
Thanks for all your help!

Hi:
Please post the hardware ID's for the 3 unknown devices, so I can figure out what drivers they need.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...I think I posted this link yesterday.

Hi Paul,
I was able to use the ‘how to’ guide to find out what they were, some of them were actually included in the driver packs on the HP website but the one that was a little tricky was the Realtek Bluetooth driver. Once I’d located the correct version it installed without issue and now the device is 100% functional using WIN10 - its actually better than it was when it was new!
thank you for all your help, without it the outcome would’ve been very different!
Thank you again
