Hello,
I own a HP Beats Special Edition 2015..A diagnostic indicated Failure hard drive Code ID:
9CTXWF-7K8BJS-MFPWLJ-60S303.
The Laptop was left on few times for long periods with few applications open and few windows.. might have caused it to overheat. It shut down on its own yesterday while I was looking for a YouTube video. . I managed to started it. The HP logo appeared and said that it will do diagnostic and repair . However it was stuck in a loop of reaching Stage 3 of fixing (C:) and then it shuts down and I wait and started again and back to dignoatics again.
I need to get my PC back in working order and ensure all files are safe or transferred.
I need guidance on what to do from here.
Thank you,
Chris

Hi, Chris:
Enter the required information at the link below and see if a report generates more details.

You will probably have to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
It is somewhat unlikely that you will be able to recover any files, but you can try to do so after you remove the hard drive.
Buy a USB to SATA hard drive cable. Something like this:
Plug one end into a working PC's USB port and the other end into your failed hard drive and see if you can read/copy any files from the hard drive to the PC.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
