You're very welcome.

According to the product number you posted, your notebook is a HP 15-bw055sa.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Since you have to replace the drive, you may want to consider buying a much better performing, normally more reliable solid state drive (SSD).

If you weren't using much of the 1 TB drive space your notebook originally came with, this 500 GB model provides the best performance for the price.  At the 1 TB size, they get pretty expensive.

After you replace the drive, you should be able to use the HP cloud recovery tool with another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

You're very welcome.

Yes, it can be fixed if you install a new had drive and reinstall the operating system.

If you provide the product number of your PC, I will give you the link to the service manual which will have instructions for how to replace the hard drive, and I will give you the instructions to reinstall the operating system if you let me know what operating system you had running on it.

Use this guide for how to find the product number of your notebook.  Please do not post the serial number.
