Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced.. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.
For Windows 7 and Windows 10. Please use Cloud Recovery tool:

Hi, @Monao
The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means you have to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Your notebook is no longer under warranty based on the manufacture year of 2014.
Nor will the HP cloud recovery tool work to reinstall the operating system, since your notebook originally came with W8.1 from HP, and was made prior to 2016.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

To reinstall Windows...
If you had taken the free upgrade to W10...
Make bootable W10 installation media using the Media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
When you get to the part of the installation that asks you to enter a product key, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
If you need to reinstall W8.1, let me know, and I will give you the instructions to do that for free as well.
