Madame/Sir,

I have the following error code:

Failure code: 0u3www-8s9a66-mfpuqk-60q003

o Product ID:  1KU40UA#ABA

o Type:  Laptop

o Model:  HP Pavilion 15-CD-075NR

I believe I need a new SSD HD.

Is that correct?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Respectfully,

Hi, Harry:

The product specs for your notebook indicates that it came with a 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05536623

If you did not replace that drive with a SSD, that is the drive that needs to be replaced.

You can replace it with a 2.5" SSD if you want.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, you can by using another Windows PC with W7 x64 or newer, create a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool, that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility...

The laptop has a new HD and it works like new!

Thanks again for your expert help!

You're very welcome.

You now know more about replacing a hard drive in one of these newer model HP notebooks than I do. 😊

You stay safe as well!
