Hi, I downloaded latest BIOS update from drivers section compatible with my laptop (3 Sept. 2025, BIOS version F30). Windows is booting up perfectly, but I can't access BIOS menu anymore. When I press F10 (or F9) while booting it writes "F10 Entering bios" but just stays like that, maybe freezing. I demand new BIOS update to fix that problem. Thanks for your help.

Hi, i resolved the issue. While booting if I press F10 once, it opens. Since I have the habit of pressing multiple times, it stucks the boot. Same for ESC and F9 keys. So my problem could count as solved. But I need to mention before BIOS update I was able enter BIOS menu with pressing keys multiple times but now it only works if you press one time.

Hi @Deathstroke06,

Thank you for the response.

I understand your laptop is not entering the BIOS menu after updating to BIOS version F30. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Perform a Hard Reset (EC Reset)

Shut down the laptop completely.

Disconnect the charger and all external devices (USB, HDMI, etc.).

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try pressing F10 repeatedly as soon as you power it on.

b. Use the BIOS Startup Menu (Esc Key Method)

Turn on the laptop and immediately start tapping the Esc key repeatedly.

When the Startup Menu appears, press F10 for BIOS Setup.

If it gets stuck on “Entering BIOS…”, leave it for 2–3 minutes to check if it responds.

c. Clear RTC/CMOS Settings (Resets BIOS Configuration)

Shut down the laptop.

Press Windows + B, then while holding them, press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds, release the Power button but keep Windows + B held for 10–15 seconds.

This triggers a BIOS recovery/reset process.

The screen may stay blank for a while and then show the BIOS recovery screen → follow the prompts.

d. Disable Fast Boot & Windows Fast Startup (if Windows loads successfully)

Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do.

Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.

Uncheck Turn on Fast Startup → Save.

Restart and try entering BIOS again using Esc or F10.

I hope this helps.

I tried out them but still have same problem. In step a, nothing changed. In step b, it freezed by saying esc startup menu. In step c, it entered BIOS recovery phase and reinstalled BIOS, still have same problem. As in step d nothing changed. As far as i see new BIOS is faulty.

Hi,

Since the standard BIOS recovery didn’t resolve the issue, here are some advanced steps you can try to regain BIOS access safely:

1. Complete Power Drain / Hard Reset

Shut down the laptop completely.

Disconnect the charger and remove all external devices (USB drives, HDMI, external keyboard/mouse, etc.).

Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds to fully drain residual power.

Reconnect only the charger and power on the laptop.

Immediately start tapping the Esc key repeatedly, then press F10 when the Startup Menu appears.

Sometimes, a complete power drain allows the BIOS to respond after a stuck F10 attempt.

2. Attempt BIOS Recovery via Windows + B / Power

Turn off the laptop.

Press and hold Windows + B keys.

While holding Windows + B, press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds, then release the Power button while continuing to hold Windows + B for 10–15 seconds.

If successful, the BIOS recovery screen will appear.

Follow on-screen instructions to restore default BIOS settings.

Note: This can take a few minutes — don’t interrupt the process.

3. Disable Fast Boot / Fast Startup

If Windows still loads:

Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do.

Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.

Uncheck Turn on Fast Startup → Save changes.

Restart and try F10 again.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help, I already done all steps (1,2,3) as you mentioned at last post. Problem is it always stuck at while pressing buttons (ESC, F9, F10) before booting. And this wasn't a case before last BIOS update.

Hello. I have the same problem. I tried your solution, but it didn't work. Could you please explain in more detail when you press F10: immediately after turning on, when the screen backlight turns on, or when the "Omen" message appears? How long do you hold  down the F10? Do you do this when you turn on the laptop or when it rebooting?
