Tried to install Featue update to Windows 10, version 1703 and got the following error message.

Some apps need to be uninstalled

These programs need to be uninstalled because they aren't compatible with the upgrade.

HP Pavilion Notebook - BIOS needs to be upgraded before you can upgrade to Windows 10

I am already running Windows 10. The laptop had Windows 10 installed when I purchased it. Please advise what does this mean and what do I need to do about it?

As the error says, the applications and software listed are not compatible with the update and you need to uninstall them. Also, you to need to update the bios to install the Windows update.

I recommend you to check the applications listed and remove them from the computer if you want to install the update as these software/applications will not work after the Windows update.

If you are using a HP pavilion notebook laptop and you are having problems with update 1703 go into hp support assistant and click on your computer and you will be given a direction to upgrade your bios, this worked for me.
