Recently on my Envy x360 I had to reinstall Windows 10 due to a corruption. I managed to reinstall, but I've noticed some features are missing. Mainly the fingerprint sensor doesn't work, and the indicators that used to pop up whenever I disabled the mic/camera no longer appear. Can I have any help getting these features back?

Hi:
If you clean installed W10 using the Microsoft media creation tool, I recommend you go back and use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that is supposed to reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the cloud recovery tool...

Is there any way to just install the software and not reinstall Windows? I need this laptop for school and I've already set up all my stuff on it.
If that's not possible, would making a Windows backup from version 2004 work on version 1909?

Hi;
Since the software came bundled from HP and it doesn't exist on the driver page (except for the fingerprint sensor driver), I don't know of any way to get what you need other than by using the Cloud recovery tool.
If you make a backup from W10 v2004, it will just reinstall that version from a backup.
If you did not install the fingerprint sensor driver, this is the one from your notebook's support page.
I don't know what the Intel Human Interface Device (HID) Event Filter Driver or the Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver do, but you may want to install those too if you have not done so already.
I don't see any software listed that will have the indicators send messages to the screen for the mike and camera.

I got the cloud recovery tool, and thought I wouldn't have the right capacity flash drive, but turns out that when my grandpa gave me this PC he also got me a 32gb flash drive. I think after I'm done with school for the day I'll reinstall using that. Thanks for your help!
