Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to upload a document that I scanned in through the Hp app. When I try to upload the document onto my school platform the file explorer is not responding & it freezes. The error it gives me says “working on it (Not Responding)” when I try to ex out of the file explorer it says Microsoft edge is not responding my only two options are to then close the program or wait for program to respond. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it ?
