Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

Whenever I am performing a search I get no results. Even if I have a folder with two files and type on search the name of the file it never shows any results. It is like searching forever and never stopping the search. It was like that since day one. I have had 5 more laptops and this is the first time I encounter something like that. Troubleshooters does nothing for this. It says that there are no errors.

What can I do for this?

 Search functions are from Windows, nothing to do with HP hardware. Where do you search from ? Using Win+S or from File Explorer ? Do you use the right syntax/option/parameter ?

Oh, ok, sorry I didnt know that.

I search for files on files explorer. I don't know what to do, I am searching for the file names as they are named. It never shows any actual result on anything, it just keeps on searching...

From File Explorer, it will start to search from the time you put in the first character as shown

(When I type letter g on the Search box, it starts to list all filenames which have letter g (in yellow)).. If still having problem, please try
