Although i have turned filter keys off, when i turn my computer back on a few hours later, it has automatically turned back on making it almost impossible to type. Is there anything i can do or is it a fault on the laptop. I've had the laptop since christmas 2016 and this has only just started to happen this last week.

Hi @Melerifon,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I reviewed your post and understand that the filter keys is turning on after every restart.

I’d love to help!

Follow the below steps to disable filter keys.

  • First disable all of the options and save the changes, then on the "Make your computer easier to use" window, on the left blue pane under "Task" click on "Change Administrative Settings" and tick "Apply all settings to the logon desktop" and save that change. Unticking the boxes in the Ease of Access screen would only apply all of those changes on a per session basis, without ticking "Apply all settings to the logon desktop", so on reboot, FilterKeys would be back on again.

Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!
