Hey there, thanks a lot for your briefing about how to do it. I'll try it out soon and update you with the results.
Anyway, I tried something on my own, and here's what I did:
I opened device manager, found the validity driver for my biometric device, and disabled it and enabled it back on again. That surprisingly did something, the lights on the fingerprint reader blinked after about 3 years! Then I installed Simple pass from an HP forum, and when I tried registering my finger, the progress bar that indicates how how much more swiping is required to register the fingerprint would not do anything
