Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop is Hp Pavilion Laptop, model 14-ce3514sa, product id 24F23EA#ABU

Steps in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-System-Recovery-USB-does-not... then tried

  • Following 'repair' path and automatically fix errors ends with a screen just showing HP logo even if left for a few hours; restart gives "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change may be the cause" Status shows as "0xc000000e"
  • Following 'Install Windows' path doesn't allow Windows to be installed on any of the available partitions

Suggestions welcome for other approaches to fixing
