HP 17.3" Touch AMD Quad-Core Laptop
Microsoft Windows Server 2019

I have a HP 17.3" Touch AMD Quad-Core Laptop. I purchased Reimage scan & fix which did a fix on my startup. That removed the 4 digit PIN option I have used since 2018 when I first set up the laptop. Now I cannot recall the password I used to initially set up my laptop. Since there is not a "forgot password" option, how can I change it or at the very least get back to factory settings so I can set it up all over again?

I bought the laptop on HSN and Windows was included, The password to Microsoft is not the laptop password.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.

For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.

For Admin password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.
