ProBook 430 G5

Hello there.

I bought the probook 430 G5 with free dos. Then I tried to instal Win 8.1

There where 2 partitions initialy.

the system reserved  partition (HPDOCS and maybe more..?)

and the empty drive.

I didnt know what to do... and I think I made a mistaky. I formated the partition and bothe of them where formated.

Now the system reserved partition is lost. What was iin there at this FreeDos model?? I try to ask HP but I can not talk with an expert. Which data where in there. Are the vital for the laptop??? shold I try to finde them again. Is it possible?

Please help me ,

Ty alot

Since you're trying to install a Windows OS on this drive, your best approach is to remove ALL the partitions on the drive and let the Windows installer do its own partitioning.  That way, Windows will create its own System Reserved partition, with the size and format it needs.

hi ,

so the initial system reserved partition is useless? is not anything important?

Don't know if it is "useless" -- but it's generally a better idea to let the new OS install its own System Reserved partition -- as that will ensure that it (1) is the right size, (2) uses the right filesystem, (3) contains the right files.
