HP Pavilion g6-1256ee Notebook PC

Hello, I have a laptop that doesn't support UEFI but HP has returned the drivers to their normal place.
I have found a driver that is a diagnostic and adds support for GPT partitions.
so I was wondering how can i install it correctly since the driver was made for Windows 7 but I'm using 10.
The driver is called "HP System Diagnostics UEFI" version "3.7.0.0 Rev. A".

Hi @HalosisMist

That is a program that loads in UEFI-BIOPS of the device, your model is not compatible with the latest version for windows 11. But if you wish you can download in the following link

I meant Windows 10, But the driver looks like it's a bootable install as if installing Windows via USB but this time it's a driver
+ Mine is currently working with MBR and I have max partitions of 4.
so how can I solve this without nuking my hard disk?

If you are referring to the program we are talking about, this is only for diagnostics and does not add any drivers to the device.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but it states that it adds UEFI functionality
my bios do not support UEFI by default natively.

I don't think you understand how this program works, it doesn't add anything other than that it installs in the UEFI partition and can be used outside of windows to make diagnostics, this has nothing to do with what you want to do, it's a hardware problem that due to the age of your laptop can't be solved.

There is nothing that can be done to change the laptop to UEFI, only changing the motherboard for a more modern one, which does not exist for your model.
