Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

HD died on laptop, replaced it but have lost all discs or whatever and tried to get win 7 files from microsoft but it said had to get them from manufacturer but am not making any progress with this HP support system.

Can anyone tell me how to get the files ? It had win 7 home prem oa on it not sure if it was 32 or 64 bit.

I have posted the link to the W7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit ISO file below.

 

The link will be good for 24 hours from the date of my posting this link.

 

https://software-download.microsoft.com/pr/Win7_HomePrem_SP1_English_x64.iso?t=b46b5f34-029d-443a-b4...

 

Use the product key on your PC's case to activate Windows.

 

I have also zipped up and attached below, the Microsoft utility that you can use to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive or DVD, so that it is bootable.

 

After W7 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Problem your facing is that HP no longer carries Recovery Media for Win7, so you will not be able to get the files from HP --regardless of the misinformation that Microsoft rep provided you.

 

You can try this alternate site, but do not be surprised if they no longer carry it, either: http://www.computersurgeons.com/
