Product: HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cp0000 IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
When laptop is not plugged in, I get a CMOS errror at boot. When I hit enter, the machine boots up fine. When I plug it in, I get NO error. I changed the main Battery, New system board, reloaded Win 10 with a clean install and still have problem. There is no CMOS battery on this laptop. I also reset the BIOS to factory settings.
This happens mainly when laptop sits unused for several hours. Once it is booted up, I can remove the plug and run off battery with no problem. If I reboot when using the laptop, I do not get the problem.
Thank You for any help.
