Every time I turn Secure boot on I get a Secure boot Violation screen saying Invalid Signature detected. Check Secure boot policy in setup. I need to know how to fix it because I can't play games like Valorant or Call of Duty

Hi @Shawnto

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand the Invalid Signature detected message appears whenever you enable Secure Boot, and you need Secure Boot working for games, Dont let me check and help you with this.

Kindly let me know your exact HP model/product number, Windows version, current BIOS version, and whether this started after a BIOS/Windows update or hardware change.

HP's Secure Boot guide explains how to access and configure Secure Boot on supported HP PCs. HP PCs - Secure Boot (Windows 11) - Click here

You can also try these below steps and confirm :

  1. Restart the PC and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  2. Select Apply Defaults and Exit, then restart the PC.
  3. Enter BIOS again and check the Secure Boot settings.
  4. Check for the latest model-specific HP BIOS update.
  5. If available for your model, restore the Secure Boot factory/default keys, save the changes, and restart.

The Secure Boot verifies trusted digital signatures during startup. The message indicates that a boot component or its signature is not currently matching the Secure Boot policy, which is why we first need to check the BIOS configuration and your exact HP model.

I hope this helps.
