HP Pavilion x360 m1 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When the laptop is started up, I get a error message saying "Boot Device Not Found" and followed by "Please Install an operating system on your hard disk." Followed by the error code 3FO.  I did a Memory test, and it passed. However, when I did a Hard Drive Check,  it gave me a "Smart Check: Software Error". The BIOS setting is already enabled to Legacy Support. I would like to not have to do a Reset and lose data. Any help?

Sounds like your data may already be gone. The hard drive evidently has failed and will need to be replaced. Proably best hope of recovering any of your files will be to remove the drive and put it into a USB HDD Enclosure. Plug it into a usb port of a working machine. If there is any life left in it you should be able to browse it and copy files over to drive of host machine.

Btw, why do you have BIOS set to Legacy?
