Hello,
Event ID 219 is logged every time laptop restarts.
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\DRIVERENUM\{cfabacad-7939-467c-96a7-93781d90d2d8}#WirelessButtonDriver_usersvc&3&9489f59&0.
I've read this driver enables the use of the keyboard to turn wireless interface on/off. I don't see a Wireless icon on the KB, only the Airplane Mode Icon (Fn-F12). That key currently does turn Airplane mode on and Wireless interface Off. So, either that works unrelated to having said WirelessButtonDriver load or not, or there is another "Wireless Button" I don't know about.
I'd like to know what is going on. If that driver enables something else, so I can fix it. If it's for this Airplane mode, then why is the error being logged, so I can fix it. If I can, I'd rather fix it than ignore it since it could cause some incidents I haven't associated with this error.
Thanks.

Hi @itorres008,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're dealing with an issue related to the Wireless Button Driver on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop. The error message indicates that the driver failed to load for the specified device. While this may not directly affect the functionality of the wireless button (Fn-F12), it's still worth investigating and resolving to ensure smooth operation.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Update Drivers: Ensure that all your drivers are up-to-date, especially the Wireless Button Driver. You can visit the HP support website, enter your laptop's model number (in this case, 17-Cd1030nr), and download the latest drivers available.
Reinstall Wireless Button Driver: You might want to try uninstalling the Wireless Button Driver from the Device Manager and then reinstall it. Here's how:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Locate the "SWD\DRIVERENUM{cfabacad-7939-467c-96a7-93781d90d2d8}" device under "System devices."
- Right-click on it and choose "Uninstall device."
- After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Check HP Software: HP laptops often come with additional software that manages certain functions, including special keys. Check if there's any HP utility related to the wireless button or function keys. Make sure it's up-to-date.
BIOS/UEFI Update: Ensure that your laptop's BIOS/UEFI firmware is also up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for hardware-related issues.
Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that include driver fixes.
Check for Airplane Mode Settings: Even though you're using the Fn-F12 key for Airplane Mode, there might be settings related to this in Windows. Check the "Airplane Mode" settings in the Windows Settings app to ensure there are no conflicts.
Remember to create a system restore point before making significant changes to your system, so you can easily revert to a stable state if needed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
