Hi Mario,

Well, none of the suggestions worked for me.  As a matter of fact, restoring a previous system version worked for a day or so.  Without any system changes, Chrome no longer interacted with SimplePass (no message to swipe finger and light on finger printer reader didn't blink).

As I mentioned in my previous note, the website logon extension is enabled.  I also tried your other suggestions, but they did not work.

I love SimplePass when it is working, but I am at my wits end on how to fix it.

UPDATE:  As of this week, the Dev mode workaround is no longer functional.  Effective 5/13/2015, Google now requires Dev Mode channel of Chrome to also obtain add ons from the Chrome Store.

Now the only way to get this working, is Group Policy on an enterprise version of Windows, until and if HP publishes it in the Chrome store.

Google chrome has revised its policies and so has Firefox!!!
WAKE UP HP !!
The HP SimplePass extensions are legally blocked by all the browsers because of their unsigned nature !!!
I'm surprised such a huge brand name can't come up with a mere official extension for browsers to support website simplepass login. Even the latest validity drivers are so old !!!
As for now, All the HP business class laptops with biometrics are of no use and I'm surprised even after there being so many forums out there addressing the same issue it's as if HP DOES NOT CARE.

(Pardon my frustration , I've tried all possible solutions suggested by all possible members on all possible forums and all possible browsers too - but with the latest updates nothing works !!!!!)

HP simple pass website login extension worked flawlessly once upon a time when browsers accepted unsigned extensions.

The fact that the HP's simple pass browser extension is an unsigned one itself surprised me !!!

Like come on HP , teenage developers sitting in their dorm room create stuff with proper security signatures !!!

Working with extensions use the o work but no longer. I love Simplepass; however, I can't get it to work anymore and have given up on it.

siddheshmr83 A good rant and well deserved too. Like many others, I've tried everything suggested to no avail.  What was an excellent facility is no more. I've sent messages to HP directly and received no replies. They simply can't or won't address the problem. I wonder if that's partly because Apple purchased Authentec, who knows. Even so, I would have thought it simple enough to sign the software and port it to the Chrome store.
