I get this screen when I turn on the PC. It comes up before windows. How do I disable this screen?

I really hope you are Ricardo here... Anyhow push and hold the power button to turn the PC off, then turn it on again while hitting ESC key multiple times you will enter BIOS, from there make sure you select in boot option USB as an option and move it at the top [link removed]

Hi Wolf665,

So yes I'm Ricardo and I have the password and my fingerprint works to open the computer. The issue is not me being locked out. But that this screen I have no way to add others to it. Meaining in Windows I added another user, added there fingerprint and password. This all works windows level.

But when I restart the computer and get to this grey screen only my account works to open to windows.

The method you point out will it disable this so the computer opens to windows and not this grey screen?

Hello Ricardo,

ignore my initial reply I was thinking you can't login at all.

You need to switch the user in order to login as another user.

Try pressing all 3 CTRL-ALT-DEL keys in the same time, this must show you few other options and ine of them is switch user, choose switch user and use any other user you want to login.

Hi Wolf665,

No that doesnt work. SInce its HP GUI / Software. There are no shortcuts that work. I tried many to see if anything would change. Its like to the main account I created the admin from.

Wondering if there is a way to adjust the boot order of system checks?

Hello,

you have HP ProtectTools Security Manager and this login comes from BIOS,

You need to create new BIOS administrator account to fix this issue.

Turn off and then turn the power on then Click ESC and then F10 to go into the BIOS set up.

In the Security Section of the BIOS I create a BIOS administrator password, save the changes and restart the Laptop.

Then ESC and go back into the BIOS but this time use the newly created BIOS administrator password, go to the Security Section of the BIOS and here there is a section that contains the usernames for HP Protect Tools Users.

Delete all the users under the HP Protect Tools Users.

Save all and restart no more annoying login startup.

Personally I would uninstall HP ProtectTools Security Manager and HP client security manager completely and use standard Windows tools only.

Unless you fancy calls to HP support and headaches with drivers.

SOLVED:

In the BIOS Config. There is an option to reset the BIOS security. I applied this and now I dont get the HP login screen.

Also I have removed the HP security tools.
