Windows should not need any drivers to find the drive on PC's with Intel 6th gen core processors.

I doubt that is the problem and would have no idea what it could be, but FWIW, I have zipped up and attached the Intel storage controller drivers that are supported for your notebook's processor and chipset, below.

Thank you for looking into this matter.

Btw I have tried connecting hard drive to another laptop using SATA to USB connector but it was not detectable. Seems to be some issue with hard drive itself.

Actually I was resetting my laptop but in meantime due to electricity issue, I was not able to charge and the battery was almost drained. So it shutdown in the middle of reset process.  After that It wasn't booting at all so I was trying to install windows using bootable USB and I have encountered this error.

You're very welcome.

Is there any possibility HDD got corrupted due to above reason?

HP Recommended

And is there any way I can recover data if it got corrupted?

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, no way that I know of that wouldn't involve hundreds of dollars for a professional to try and recover the data with no guarantee that they could.

I think it's best time to upgrade it to SSD now. 🙂

Thanks for your support.

Anytime.

Yes, I agree.

Hopefully, it is just the drive that is the problem.

HP Recommended

Yes, seems to be issue with drive only.

I am able to boot the laptop with bootable USB. I am even replying using the same laptop.
