HP Pavillion x360 m Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

My HP Pavillion x360 m Convertible, ** crashed and failed to reboot to OS on May 6th 2020.  This ultimately generated an HDD related failure id: rgc1ax-9kva3t-gxgkg1-60uh03.

I ran through the process to check warranty, and found that it had expired the day before the failure. The virtual agent dead ends attempts to generate an RMA because the warranty had expired. The HP support website clearly states that all warranty claim periods have been extended by 30 days due to the COVID-19 situation.  I found what HP lists a service center local to me and I dropped the laptop with them, hoping that they would be able to generate an RMA or repair the laptop. They made no attempt at contacting HP on the matter, and went on to try and upsell the repair at my expense.

I'm posting here in hopes that I can find some sort of resolution that doesn't Involve great out of pocket expense.

The only attention this got was from a MOD to remove the serial number?

@BIGGY238, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
