Hi,
I have recently decided to upgrade my pc's performance by using ssd as C-drive and hdd as secondary (placed in dvd caddy)
It is being recognised in BIOS but when i boot it to windows, its gone, not even device manager is showing anything like dvd at all..?
I have tried switching the key present in caddy
I have tried turning on and off the VIRTUALISATION from BIOS.
Still nothing, it is not getting recognised at all

Hello @rdxdroid
Welcome !
Perhaps the drive is not mounted in Windows and no drive letter has been assigned to it.
Try going to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
- Under Storage, In Disk Manager, do you see an addition drive there ?
Right-click the partition or volume where you want to assign the mount point folder path. - Click Change Drive Letter and Paths and then click Add.
- Click Mount in the following empty NTFS folder.
- Type the path to an empty folder on an NTFS volume, or click Browse to locate it.
- Do you see it under Windows Explorer now ?
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for ur reply @IT_WinSec
But, i failed to mention few more things,
I already tried to see all the connected devices through stock as well as some third party partition tools, they just won't detect any extra hard-drive.
I tried updating drivers responsible for dvd controller, hdd controller and everything i could..
Still my poor hard drive is only getting recognised under bios (boot devices)
I am feeling really helpless 😔.

Can you try updating your drivers ?
Make sure Windows is updated, as well.
You may use the Device Manager to update drivers and/or HP Support Assistant. Please refer to this official article >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139
