Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3 Base Model Notebook PC
I bought a new HP corei5 laptop today but I doubt it is brand new, please how can I confirm this. I feel like the vendor sent me a refurbished one, please how can I confirm it is actually brand new. I asked the vendor and he said it is new but I don't trust his words. CAN I TELL FROM THE SERIAL NUMBER AND SKU? It shows that the windows was installed 2023, please help me.

You can tell by looking at the product number.
If there is an 'R' after the product number than it was refurbished by HP.
But your notebook is not new as far as when it was made.
It's probably 9 - 10 years old.
