I want to update RAM speed as I installed new RAM

Standard is 2100MHz and the RAM just installed is capable of 3200MHz

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access Advanced Settings in BIOS. The later version methods do not work.

Hi @Stig101, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating that can be! Let's try to get you access to the Advanced Settings in your BIOS so you can update your RAM speed.

Here are some steps you can follow to access the Advanced BIOS settings on your HP laptop:

  1. Restart your laptop and press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  2. From the Startup Menu, press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup.
  3. If the Advanced tab is not visible, try pressing Ctrl + F1 or Ctrl + F10 while in the BIOS Setup
  4. If that doesn't work, you can also try pressing Fn + Tab three times while in the BIOS

Once you have access to the Advanced Settings, you can change the RAM speed:

  1. Navigate to the Advanced or Performance tab.
  2. Look for DRAM Configuration or Memory Settings.
  3. Change the memory frequency to the desired speed (3200MHz in your case).
  4. Save the changes and exit the BIOS.

If these steps don't work, it's possible that your BIOS version doesn't support changing the RAM speed manually.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
