HP 15-r029wm Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Was doing a driver update on laptop and all but one was updated and it said "INTEL-TRUSTED EXECUTION ENGINE INTERFACE 2.0.0.1094 COULDN'T BE UPDATED AND HAD PROBLEMS"  so I'd like some info on this and if it can be

reinstalled or repaired and how.  Many thanks

This would be the latest driver HP has for that device.

Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface Driver

2.0.0.1067

this update looks older than the one installed....am I wrong on this?

Perhaps I misunderstood your post

If version 2.0.0.1094 is working fine, then it must be the latest one available and I would not bother trying to update it.

If the device has issues with 2.0.0.1094, then I recommend you install the older driver from HP which is actually developed for W10.

The driver isn't from HP because I gave you the newest driver HP has.

The one on your notebook's support page is a W8.1 driver HP rebadged as supported for W10.

W10 wasn't even available in 2014.

I have no problem going back, but should I expect to see things to be different or some oddity pop up, cause

this laptop is used by my wife and if it looks/acts differently, well, you know how women get...

If there is nothing wrong now, there is no reason to go back.

If the device needs 'repair' as you posted (in other words it is not working properly), then I would install the version I gave you because it is supported for the Pentium N3520 processors.

The W10 Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface (TXE) Driver on the HP 15-r029wm Notebook PC's support page is 1.1.0.1064, 01/12/2014, and is really a Windows 8.1 driver as I mentioned before.

Well I tried and it came back with an error:  TRUSTED EXE. ENGINE: failure...This platform is not supported....

Is there anything else I can do or not?

HP Recommended

The only other thing you can do that I know of again if 2.0.0.1094 is NOT working would be to install the TXE driver from the support page.
