Hi @pancake912011,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that HP 14-inch 14a-nf0000 will not boot. The safest HP-supported recovery path is:

Try HP/Windows recovery options first:

  • On startup, use F11 for System Recovery if available.

  • HP describes recovery paths in this order: Microsoft System Restore, Refresh, then full HP Recovery. Full recovery is the most drastic and can erase data.

  • If your system says internet recovery is missing or damaged, the built-in recovery area may no longer be usable.

Understand what recovery media does:

  • HP recovery media returns the PC to the factory state it was in when first turned on.

  • It does not include your personal files like pictures or documents.

If recovery media is missing or damaged:

  • HP says that for many systems, you can order recovery media from HP:

    • Go to hp.com

    • Enter your exact model number

    • Open the product support page

    • Go to software/driver options

    • Select the original operating system shipped with the device

    • Check whether recovery media can be ordered for your model.

Important warning before recovery:

  • If you can access any backup option, back up files first.

  • If the storage drive has failed, recovery may not complete normally. HP notes that if recovery appears to fail, there may be a hardware issue.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
